Today's Workshop: Controlling Natural Light

After some showers in the morning, I did not know if I was going to have to cancel this event or not, I hesitated at times, but luckily the weather improved and it happened. I had a great time. I think the participants were able to learn key concepts of light control and exposure and I was amazed at some of the photos they took. I have to admit it also helps when you have great models like Camille, Sean and Daniel.

As usual I do not have a lot of time to take pictures during the workshops but I did manage to take a couple of shots which I'm sharing below.

Finally, to all participants, please feel free to leave your comments or questions below and also if you are brave post any of your photos. Thanks for participating. Looking forward to see you in another workshop in the future.

  1. Thank you Diego. I loved that I was able to use a diffuser and reflectors and how to use them. It was an eyeopener for me and after I rushed to photograph my niece using the new techniques and the last of the light.
If I would change anything it would be too assign the groups by camera (Nikon, or Cannon) from the beginning so that we can help each other more.
Id give this workshop a 9.

  4. Enjoyed your workshop tremendously, Diego.

How would you rate your workshop experience? (1: Poor - 10: Excellent): I give it a 9

What did you like about the workshop? I liked the structure, location and models. I also liked the level of information provided and that you were available at all times to answer questions and provide feedback.

Tell us what you didn't like about the workshop?
Limited seating and lack of high level notes to take home with me.

What would you change to make it better? Include a note to BYOC (bring your own chair just in case) and a notebook in the email confirming the class. Some high level tips to remember printed out and provided to everyone.

Additional comments: Your classes are fantastic and I find myself looking forward to the next one! Thank you!!
